Ixchel Susan Leigh (pronounced ee-shell susun lee), an Aromatherapist, has been referred to as "The Fragrance Alchemist." Always positioning herself in the authentic, vibrationally-conscious aromatherapy market segment, she created and has been a pioneer for Vibrational AromaTherapy (VbAT) since 1980, teaching its methodology and writing for major publications in the U.S. and Great Britain. In 1988, Ixchel was Marketing Director for Aroma Vera, and together with Marcel Lavabre, started teaching aromatherapy certification seminars. In 1989, Ixchel created Essence AromaTherapy™, the first company to offer a pure essential oil candle line. Ixchel has studied alternative wellness therapies for over 30 years and explored the medicines and myths of many indigenous people which is integrated into her work, her life and personal philosophy.

Ixchel is a member of the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA). Ixchel has authored numerous articles for such industry publications as Aromatic Thymes, NAHA’s Aromatherapy Journal, The Aromatherapy Quarterly, The International Journal of Aromatherapy.

In the Spring of 2002, Ixchel was named as one of the top Alternative Therapists in England by Vogue Magazine. Ixchel has been creating, working with, receiving information about, and evolving the concepts of Vibrational AromaTherapy for over twenty years as part of the authentic aromatherapy industry. Those who make a personal connection to Ixchel are drawn to both "the personal integrity, grace, intuition, passion, and divine energy that she brings to her life and by the authenticity, strength, and humility that she brings to her work."

Vibrational AromaTherapy was conceived by Ixchel from her soul’s desire for continued growth and change of every aspect of her being. All of the conceptual information comes from her own feelings; much of her information has come from her own intuition, dreams and guidance.

Premiered in the Fall of 2001, Ixchel further evolved this work into the publishing of her book, Aromatic Alchemy. Combining the fundamentals of Vibrational AromaTherapy as presented in the original Aromatic Alchemy, she has expanded the knowledge to include the next evolution of transformational information. The book has been expanded to include the vibrational properties of 70 essential oils and blending information for energetic use. The book joins together information on aromatherapy, alchemy, physics, metaphysics, and Nature's Vibrational Medicines. To read more, click on the book's title.

Ixchel explores her heart's desires interests in alchemy, aromatherapy, spirituality, metaphysics, shamanism, physics, cultural anthropology, and the natural world. She uses Nature's Vibrational Medicines as a Visionary Alchemist. Years of study around the world in holistic therapies and with indigenous peoples is integrated into her work, her life, and personal philosophy...

"My heart and my life are committed

to guiding myself and others to make the changes
