Click, click, on to the next site!

Fragrant Quests and SacredSites Tours are guided by Ixchel with " focused intent" with the time to experience not only the beauty, but the vibration and energy of each special area. Each Fragrant Quest and SacredSite Tour has a seasonal focus based on the ancient peoples of the land. On each Tour, experience Nature's Vibrational Medicines and special healing ceremonies connecting you personally with some of the Earth Mother's natural and manmade beauty and magic.

Each time, the FragrantQuests and SacredSites Tours plan to visit some of the same sites and always introduce new sites. We invite new attendees to experience this transformational journey and previous attendees to join us again for an annual pilgrimage. Each visit brings to us new awareness, insight, and learning that are appropriate at the time.

SacredSites Tour

The following description features just a small glimpse of what was experienced on the SacredSites Tour of May, 1999.It is here as an example of what you can look forward to experiencing!

The Isle of Avalon, or Glastonbury "the holiest earthe in England ," was the focal point of this magical trip sponsored by Fragrant Studies and Fragrant Earth. Ixchel taught for the two consecutive weekends between the Tour at the Fragrant Studies' Pilgrim Centre, which is actually located on the grounds of the old Glastonbury Abbey. It was the first time that Live Seminars of Vibrational AromaTherapy Levels I and II were offered in England. During the interim week, Monday through Friday, the first Sacred Sites Tour left from Glastonbury to take us on a new adventure each day.

Jan Kusmirek (Fragrant Studies) and Ixchel Leigh planned and researched each stop. Jan brought a wealth of knowledge about this area, having lived, worked and traveled it for 30 years. Ixchel brought the interpretation of the Goddess and vibrational energies. It allowed each participant to experience personally during the week the transformational properties of the ChakraSynergies and some of Nature’s Vibrational Medicines. It was more than "just teachings." This week was an inner journey to enliven the spirit and light the flame for transformation.

Highlights (including photos) of the Sacred Sites experienced during the May, 1999 magical journey...

At the Roman Baths, we can imagine the grandeur that was Rome when these baths were in use.

At the Vale of the White Horse, we experienced the energy of the mountain that holds the outline and impression of a magnificent White Horse.

At Maiden Castle, we experienced again the beauty of the land and the civilizations that built their home there.

At Cerne Abbas, Ixchel performed an impromptu Goddess Sacred Ceremony at one of the springs that surprised all by the powerful energy.

At the top of the mountain overlooking the Abbottsbury Swannery, we discovered St. Catherine’s Chapel. St. Catherine was known as the matron saint for "old maids." Inside this beautiful stone building, two in our group read aloud her special poem for "old maids to find love," and have since both made deep and loving connections and marriages! At the base of the mountain, we were able to witness the "birthing" time of the magnificent white swans in residence at the Abbotsbury Swannery.

It was worth the long drive to reach Tintagel, the remains of the castle fortress where King Arthur was conceived. The magnificence of the view, the isolation of the island on which the castle stood, and the magic that was behold from Merlin’s Cave under the island made this a special stop.

Visiting King Arthur’s Great Hall with the Round Table in all it’s glory brought the legends to life.

The Witch Museum at Boscastle Harbor was more fascinating than we could have anticipated.

"Fairies" and special spirits hovered around us as we climbed up to the top of St. Nectan’s Glen.  On the path down, we experienced the unique and mystical feeling of the 60 foot waterfall at the head of the idyllic wooded valley of this magical glen.

The ceremony at Stannon Stone Circle was again impromptu, unexpected, and unforgettable.

Stonehenge, although commercialized, caused us to wonder "How did they do it?"

The ceremony, planned and lead by Ixchel, at the Avebury Processional Stones in Avebury, brought in life transforming wishes and information for many attendees. Ixchel honored the energy of doing a Native American pipe ceremony using exclusively vibrational essential oils rather than the traditional tobacco, with appropriately powerful results. For some, the messages that came in were life changing.

Back in Glastonbury, each attendee had the time to visit the ruins of the Glastonbury Abbey, the legendary Chalice Well, the majestic Tor, and the land around the area known as the Glastonbury Zodiac.
